Know that while reading Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra, I found this proposal to be wonderful and romantic.

To-night we'll wander through the streets and noteThe qualities of people...."
(Yeah, I butchered the meter by taking it out of the longer speech. Look it up. It's act one, scene one.)
Know also, that Antony says this to Cleopatra while he is cheating on his wife, and amidst a lot of emasculating language.
Also, know that both Antony and Cleopatra end up dead.
If you can still make it sound romantic and appealing, go for it.
Though I can't imagine it's a good idea to take cues from my blog which quotes Shakespeare out of context.
